Brian Bruney (pictured) made a rehab start today for the Thunder in game one of the day/night doubleheader and pitched a perfect first inning. Original starting pitcher Ryan Pope piggybacked him and gave up four runs and nine hits in just 4 2/3 innings in the 4-0 Binghamton victory. Tobi Stoner was brilliant for Binghamton, he went the distance Here are some of the highlights….
TOP 5th – Salvador Pantiagua hit his first home run of the season, a missile over the left field wall to put the B-Mets on top 1-0.
TOP 6th – With the bases loaded and two out, Pantiagua ripped a double over the head of left fielder Richie Robnett, plating all three runs and putting the B-Mets ahead 4-0.
