Rough night for the Thunder, Zach McAllister battled and went 7 1/3 strong innings but got some tough luck from his defense. Three errors (one by McAllister himself) doomed Trenton as they fell 4-0 to Connecticut. The Defenders now lead the Northern Division by 3.5 games over the Thunder. For Connecticut, Tim Alderson (pictured) was superb and pitched seven shutout innings. The #4 ranked prospect in the Giants organization yielded only two hits and two walks. Here are the highlights….
TOP 4th – Brett Pill gave the Defenders a 1-0 lead with an RBI single to left field, plating Brock Bond.

Also at some ponit next week be on the lookout for an interview with the #1 prospect in the Giants organization RHP Madison Bumgarner. He isn’t scheduled to pitch in this series but he has been superb for Connecticut so far.
