Rough game for the Thunder, Jason Stephens (pictured) got the spot start and pitched three decent innings, the rest of the bullpen faltered though as Wilkins Arias gave up two runs to take the loss and Jose Valdez gave up four more (two earned). Overall, the Thunder fell 8-3 in game three of the four-game series. Here are some of the highlights…
BOTTOM 1st – Reegie Corona hits his third home run of the season, a solo shot over the right field wall to give Trenton a 1-0 lead.
TOP 2nd – Reading strikes right back with two runs, the big blow was an RBI double off the bat of Gus Milner to tie the game at 1-1. Milner would score two batters later on a wild pitch to put Reading ahead 2-1.

BOTTOM 2nd – FINALLY! Jesus Montero hits his first career Double-A home run, a missile off the batter’s eye in deep center to tie the score at 1-1.
TOP 5th – Reading breaks through for the go-ahead run, an RBI triple off the bat of Neil Sellers, his fourth RBI of the series as the fightin’ Phils take a 3-2 lead.

TOP 6th – Michael Taylor shows us why he is the top power hitter in the Phils farm system right now, a line drive cannon three-run home run that cleared all four levels of billboards in left field. The Phils are cruising now as they take a 6-2 lead.

TOP 8th – More problems for the Thunder defense, Richie Robnett takes over for Noah Hall in left field and promptly commits an error to allow Carlos Leon to reach base. The next batter Michael Taylor continues his offensive onslaught with his third hit of the night, a RBI double that plated Leon and put the Phils ahead 7-2. Taylor would later score on a wild pitch.
